NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE WEAVER UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE DISTRICT HAS SUFFICIENT STANDARDS ALIGNED TEXTBOOKS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR EACH STUDENT FOR THE 2021 - 2022 SCHOOL YEAR

In compliance with Education Code Sections 60119, 60421, and 60422, please be advised that the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of the Weaver Union School District (“District”), at a public hearing to be held on September 8, 2021, will determine whether all students in the Weaver Union School District have sufficient standards-aligned textbooks and instructional materials, and whether the District is in compliance with all regulations regarding instructional materials per Education Code Section 60421.

The Board will adopt a resolution stating whether textbooks and instructional materials are sufficient, disclose in the Board resolution the percentage of students in each school who lack standards-aligned materials and, if insufficiency exists, the reasons for the insufficiency.  The resolution will also identify the remedy for any insufficiency that may exist.

The public hearing of the District on the matter will be held on September 8, 2021, will begin at 5:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter at Pioneer Elementary School, the exact location TBA.
